Created in 1962 by John Holahan at the General Mills food company, Lucky Charms have become synonymous with American breakfasts, up there with pancakes and maple syrup, Eggs Benedict and coffee. The Lucky Charms Mascot is Lucky the Leprechaun, always bemoaning the fact that kids are "after me Lucky Charms!".
Lucky has become so popular with kids in America that General Mills have gone as far as creating a website aimed directly at them, featuring games, the Book of Charms which tells the story of each individual charm found in a bowl of Lucky Charms and a whole lot more.
You can see all this at www.luckycharms.com. You can also see more of Lucky in our Video tab!
